Meet The Ultimate Breakfast Sandwich – a bold, flavour-packed creation designed to turn any morning into a moment worth savouring. Imagine a perfectly baked, fluffy Puccia Bun giving way to layers of rich, juicy wagyu beef sausages, a runny fried egg on a bed of sweet, buttery caramelised onions, all brightened with a handful of fresh, peppery rocket.
It’s indulgent, comforting, and just a little bit fancy – the kind of breakfast that sets the tone for a truly great day.
Ingredients
- 1x Puccia Bun
- 1 cup of your preferred tomato pizza sauce
- A handful of fresh rocket
- 50g caramelised fried onions
- 3 wagyu beef sausages
- 1 fried egg
- chilli jam
Please note: The wagyu beef sausages were our favourite for this sandwich, but they can be substituted for an alternative sausage if needed.
Method
1. Pre-heat the oven to 180°C and bake your Puccia bun for 3-5 minutes. For a crispier finish, open the bun for the first 2 minutes or cook in a toaster.
2. Cover the base bun with your chosen tomato pizza sauce.
3. Next place your fresh rocket onto the sauce.Â
4. Then add a layer of your caramelised onions.
5. Take your sausages and slice them lengthways before laying them across the onions.
6. Spread on some of your chilli jam.
7. Finally, crown with your fried egg, we preferred ours on the runny side.
8. To finish, add a little extra jam to the top bun, close, and enjoy.
